Come to the sessions mentally prepared.
Minimise distractions such as social media, news right before and after the session.
Set weekly targets for yourself and track your progress daily to see where you can do more and improve.
If you’re stuck with a verse, a word, a letter.. then give it your full attention before moving onto the next.
Recite to someone who’s more experienced than you to see if you’ve mastered the tilawah before reciting to your teacher- especially in the earlier stages.
Recite for at least 15 minutes out loud daily, when you’re starting out and then gradually increase the time to 30 minutes, 45 minutes and an hour. Practicing in this manner will build your stamina to recite more over the same duration.
